About Me

Hi! I am Tiago, professor of structural geology at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. My research focused on brittle structures mainly in the characterization of fractures. My PhD. focused on data analysis and characterization of natural fracture data sets collected from outcrop and microstructural analysis of petrographic thin sections. I spent a semester working with the Fracture Research and Application Consortium  at the Bureau of Economic Geology, University of Texas at Austin, developing strategies to combine data across a geologically relevant range of scales and analysis of spatial organization of fractures. Currently, we have a collaboration with the Institute of Petroleum Engineering at Heriot Watt University, working on geological and geomechanical modeling of naturally fractured reservoirs using outcrop analogs in northeast Brazil.

Please, feel free to contact me any time you want. I will be more than happy to hear from you.
